About Bridgeland
Bridgeland is a master-planned community of about 11,500 acres in Cypress, in northwest Harris County, developed by Howard Hughes. Home sales started in 2006, and the plan calls for roughly 20,000 homes at full build-out. The community sits between US 290 and I-10, with Cypress Creek along its northern edge and Langham Creek to the south. Most addresses use the 77433 ZIP code, and the Grand Parkway (SH 99) runs straight through the middle.
The community is organized into four villages. Lakeland was first and is home to more than 3,000 families. Parkland follows Prairie School design ideas and includes Parkland Row, a traditional neighborhood development. Prairieland sits just west of the Grand Parkway and focuses on sustainability, and Creekland, the fourth and final village, covers nearly 2,300 acres north of Prairieland. Bridgeland Central, a planned 925-acre hub around the 140-acre Josey Lake, ties them together.
Roughly 3,000 acres are set aside for open space, including about 900 acres of lakes and a planned 250 miles of trails. Amenities include the Lakeland Activity Center, Dragonfly Park and Longwing Landing. Schools depend on the village: Lakeland and Parkland are largely zoned to Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, including Bridgeland High School, while Prairieland and Creekland mostly feed Waller ISD. Many streets are still under construction, which affects how trucks reach some homes.
FAQ's
Answers to common questions about moving in and out of Bridgeland.
Yes. We serve Lakeland, Parkland, Prairieland and Creekland, plus Bridgeland Central and the surrounding Cypress area. Tell us your village and section when you request a quote, because newer sections west of the Grand Parkway can have street access that changes as construction continues.
Bridgeland is a master-planned community, not a city. It lies within Cypress in unincorporated northwest Harris County. That means move-day rules usually come from your HOA and deed restrictions rather than a city ordinance, so check your homeowner guidelines for truck parking and work hours.
Local moves are billed hourly for actual time worked, with a deposit equal to the two-hour minimum that is fully refundable if you cancel or reschedule 48+ hours ahead. Long-distance moves get a flat rate and a 15% deposit. Estimates are free and we respond the same business day.
Yes. We move home gym equipment, including racks, treadmills and cable machines, and gun safes, including stair work. These items may carry a small specialty handling fee that we quote upfront, so mention them when you request your estimate.
We supply all materials for full or partial packing and also sell boxes and supplies. Through our partner Stack Moves, you can also get reusable plastic moving bins delivered to your door, which is handy if you are packing over several weekends before a closing.
