Relocating from West U
Colonial Terrace sits close to several of Houston's major employment centers, including the Texas Medical Center, Rice University, Greenway Plaza and The Galleria. That proximity brings households that arrive for new positions and later move on, often across state lines. Whether you are leaving a 1930s cottage or a recent custom build, an interstate move from here begins with a detailed inventory so the flat rate covers everything.
Families moving into the neighborhood are often drawn by its Houston ISD zoning to West University Elementary, Pershing Middle and Lamar High, so many inbound moves are timed around the school year. We schedule delivery to give you time to settle before classes begin, and if your West U home is still under construction or renovation, month-to-month storage bridges the gap until it is ready.
Established homes here often hold antiques, art and pianos that need more than standard padding for a long haul. We custom crate artwork and antiques and pad-wrap fine furniture before loading. Because driveways are short and lots narrow, the truck usually loads from the curb, so we plan an efficient single loading session that gets the dedicated truck on the road the same day.
If you are relocating for a Texas Medical Center or Rice University position, confirm your start date before locking the delivery window.Time an inbound move so children can enroll before the Houston ISD school year begins; we can adjust delivery to fit.Point out heirlooms, art and pianos during the walkthrough so crates and padding are ready on loading day.Ship your car through our partner RunBuggyOne so it arrives at your new home without a long drive.
