Upstairs gyms are the hardest. Curved or open staircases common in rebuilt two-story Memorial homes leave little room to pivot a treadmill deck, so we remove consoles, rails and motor covers first and protect banisters and walls with pads. Garage gyms are simpler to reach but often have racks bolted to the slab or wall. We unbolt and remove them, but we do not patch walls or concrete, so line up a handyman for anchor holes before you list the house.
Commercial fitness spaces in Memorial range from boutique studios in strip centers along Memorial Drive to large facilities; CityCentre includes a fitness club of about 149,000 square feet. Studio moves usually happen overnight so classes are not canceled, and the equipment count can run into dozens of machines.
