Moving from The Crossing to Alden Springs, or from First Colony into a lakefront Riverstone home? Our local crews handle short Fort Bend County moves with hourly pricing and careful handling.
Short moves, done right
Around the neighborhoods
Riverstone's neighborhoods each have their own feel and their own entry points. Creekstone Village, Stonebrook, The Manors, Majestic Pointe, The Reserve, The Enclave and The Island are just a few of the names residents use, and several are gated. Because different subdivisions can carry different governing documents, it helps to ask the HOA about any move-day rules for your section. We route trucks via University Boulevard, LJ Parkway, Riverstone Boulevard or Oilfield Road depending on where you start and finish.
Many local moves here are partly in and partly out of the community, such as a family leaving an older First Colony home for a newer Riverstone build. Those moves stay short, but the planning still matters. Trash and recycling switch providers depending on whether the new address is Sugar Land or Missouri City, and pickup days differ, so a load of packing debris may need to wait for the right day. We take flattened boxes back on request to keep your curb clear.
Outdoor spaces are a big part of life here, with about 500 acres of parks, trails and open space plus more than 200 acres of lakes. That means patio furniture, grills, kayaks and play equipment are common on our inventory lists. If you plan to add a shed or play set at the new house, remember that exterior changes go through the Riverstone Architectural Review Committee, which meets the first Wednesday of each month.
FAQ's
What homeowners ask before booking a local move in Riverstone.
Local moves are billed by the hour for the actual time worked, with a two-hour minimum. Stairs and long carries are included. The only possible extra is a specialty handling fee for oversized items like gun safes, pianos or hot tubs, and we quote it upfront.
Yes. Moves between Riverstone and surrounding parts of Sugar Land, Missouri City and the rest of Fort Bend County are local moves for us. We plan the route around Highway 6, University Boulevard and school traffic so the crew arrives on time.
It is a good idea. The HOA office at The Club at Riverstone issues gate codes and amenity cards, and some subdivisions have their own governing documents. Calling ahead lets you confirm any rules for your street before the truck arrives.
Yes. Furniture disassembly and reassembly are standard on every Tera Moving job at no extra fee. That includes bed frames, cribs, dining tables and most large shelving units. We bag and label the hardware for each piece so everything goes back together correctly in the new house.
We recommend at least one week. May through August and the last weekend of each month book up first, while mid-week and mid-month dates usually have more openings. We accommodate last-minute moves when the schedule allows.
Thank you for considering us for your moving needs. We will get back to you during normal business hours.
