School zoning is one of the biggest reasons people move across Katy. Katy ISD covers a huge area, and families often trade houses to land in a particular attendance zone before the fall semester. That puts a lot of local moves into June, July and early August. If your move is tied to a school start date, book early, and consider having us pack the kitchen and fragile items a day ahead so moving day stays short.
Getting around town shapes the schedule. I-10 is the main east-west spine, while Mason Road, Fry Road, FM 1463 and Westheimer Parkway handle most trips between subdivisions. Morning school traffic near campuses on these roads can slow a loaded truck, so we often start early or plan the route around school zones. For homes in deed-restricted neighborhoods, we check HOA rules on truck parking and moving hours before the crew shows up.

No. Stairs and long carries are not extra. Many Katy homes have bedrooms upstairs, and our crews plan for that. Only oversized specialty items like gun safes, pianos, hot tubs or gym equipment may carry a small specialty handling fee, and we quote it upfront.
