Business moves
A growing business corridor
When Johnson Development acquired Cross Creek Ranch in 2012, about 200 acres were reserved for retail, commercial and multifamily use. Since then, a retail corridor anchored by H-E-B has grown up along Texas Heritage Parkway, bringing shopping, dining and jobs close to the neighborhoods. Johnson Development also markets commercial land in nearby Cross Creek West. For business owners, that means many moves here are into brand-new buildings, often from older spaces closer to Katy or Houston.
New commercial buildings come with their own complications. Landlords may still have contractors finishing other suites, parking lots may be partially striped, and management often asks for a certificate of insurance, a scheduled move window and protection for new floors and doorways. We gather those requirements early. We also look at where the truck can stage, since open lots and new driveways in Fulshear usually give us room, but loading doors may face a busy service lane.
The customer base is a big part of why businesses come here. Cross Creek Ranch alone spans about 3,200 acres of homes, and the surrounding Fulshear and Katy area keeps adding residents. Medical and dental practices, salons, fitness studios, restaurants and service businesses follow the rooftops. FM 1093, the Westpark Tollway and the Grand Parkway make it practical for us to bring inventory and equipment in from other Houston locations without long detours.
FAQ's
Questions business owners ask about commercial moves near Cross Creek Ranch.
Yes. We often move businesses into new buildings in the Fulshear area. We protect new floors and doorways, provide the certificate of insurance management requires, and schedule around contractors still finishing other suites. Tell us the building's move rules during your estimate.
Yes. We pack and move stockroom inventory, shelving, display fixtures and point-of-sale counters. We load in a planned order so the most important items come off the truck first, and we can work overnight so the store opens on schedule.
Yes. We move reception furniture, exam room furniture, filing systems and office equipment, then set them up in the new suite. If a vendor needs to move specialized clinical equipment, we coordinate timing so both teams can work without getting in each other's way.
Local commercial moves are billed hourly for the time actually worked, with a deposit equal to the two-hour minimum that is refundable with 48 hours' notice. Weekend work costs the same as weekdays. Estimates are free, with same-business-day replies.
We move offices as well. Our separate office moving service focuses on workstations, cubicles, IT equipment and after-hours scheduling. If your business has both a storefront and back-office space, we can plan both parts of the move together.
