Relocating from Telfair to another state, or arriving in Sugar Land for a new job? Tera Moving runs interstate moves on a flat rate, usually with the same crew driving your belongings start to finish.
Interstate moves
One truck, one crew.
Flat rate that stays put.
A direct line while in transit.
Leaving or arriving
Telfair's commercial district along University Boulevard and U.S. 59 is home to an office campus Texas Instruments opened in 2014, and Sugar Land is also a corporate base for companies such as Fluor and CVR Energy. Job changes and transfers in that corporate world bring families in from other states and send others out. Whichever direction you are heading, we start with a walkthrough of the house, then lock a flat price and set a pickup window that fits your closing or lease date.
Telfair sits beside the Southwest Freeway (U.S. 59 and Interstate 69), which gives a loaded truck quick access to the regional highway network for the trip out of state. The community's main entrance is on University Boulevard just south of State Highway 6. Because the homes here are mostly large single-family houses, an out-of-state move from Telfair often fills a full truck, so we plan loading order carefully and wrap every piece for the length of the trip.
Families arriving from out of state often ask about schools first. Telfair is in Fort Bend ISD, with Cornerstone Elementary inside the community and many homes feeding to Sartartia Middle and Clements High. If your new Telfair house closes after your old home is packed, we can keep your belongings in storage, overnight, week-long or month to month, and deliver once you have the keys.
Request the estimate early; a virtual walkthrough works well if you are still living out of state and buying a Telfair home sight unseen.Line up car shipping with the household move; our partner RunBuggyOne handles door-to-door vehicle transport anywhere in the U.S.Summer is peak season for families moving around the school year, so book three or more weeks ahead for May through August dates.Pack a separate bag of documents, chargers and medications that rides with you, not on the truck, since the haul takes several days.If you are relocating for a Sugar Land employer, ask HR what paperwork they need from your mover before you schedule the date.
Federally licensed.
No surprise add-ons.
Coverage for the whole trip.
FAQ's
What Telfair residents ask before a move out of state or into Sugar Land.
Anywhere in the continental United States. Tera Moving handles moves from Telfair and Sugar Land to other states, and moves into Telfair from out of state. We hold the federal USDOT and MC numbers required for interstate household moves, and our pricing for these jobs is a flat rate confirmed in writing.
On most of our long-distance moves, no. We run a dedicated single-truck move where the same crew loads at your Telfair home and delivers at the destination. Your belongings are not transferred between trucks or held in a third-party warehouse, which reduces handling and the chance of damage.
Long-distance moves require a 15% deposit, and the flat rate locks in once you confirm. Payment for the balance is collected after the post-move walkthrough at your new home, and we accept cash, check, major credit cards, Zelle and Venmo.
Yes. We offer overnight, week-long and month-to-month storage. That helps when your out-of-state closing falls after your Telfair move-out date, or when you are arriving in Sugar Land before your new house is ready.
Yes, through our partner RunBuggyOne, which provides door-to-door car shipping anywhere in the U.S. Many families with two or three vehicles drive one and ship the rest so they can fly to the new city and meet the truck.
Thank you for considering us for your moving needs. We will get back to you during normal business hours.
