Apartments and condos are harder to come by in Sugar Land than houses, so when your lease turns over, the timing matters. Our apartment crews handle stairs, elevators, gate codes and tight move-out windows.
Apartment and condo moves
Renting in Sugar Land
Sugar Land is mostly single-family neighborhoods, and new apartment construction has been rare. When Pearl Lake Pointe broke ground in December 2025 on Creekbend Drive, the developer said it was the first multifamily project the city had approved since 2012. The five-story building, with 376 units and a six-story parking garage overlooking Brooks Lake, is expected in spring 2027. With limited supply, leases here move fast, so apartment movers often work to tight start and end dates.
Condos are another common apartment-style move. Sugar Land Town Square, at Interstate 69 and State Highway 6, includes condominiums above and around the shops, restaurants and plaza. Those buildings generally have shared garages, controlled entries and reserved elevators, which is where a certificate of insurance and a booked time slot make move day go smoothly. We confirm the rules with management before the truck leaves the yard.
Many Sugar Land renters also lease townhomes, duplexes or garden-style units in complexes along the main corridors near U.S. 59, Highway 6 and U.S. 90A. Those moves usually involve exterior stairs, gated parking and a long walk from the nearest truck spot. The Lake Pointe Green project, planned to include affordable units with first housing expected in 2027, will add more options over time.
FAQ's
Questions about moving into or out of a Sugar Land apartment or condo.
No. Stairs and long carries are not extra. A second- or third-floor walk-up is priced the same hourly rate as a ground-floor unit. The only add-on is a small specialty handling fee for oversized items like a gun safe or piano, which we quote upfront.
Yes. We supply certificates of insurance for apartment and condo buildings on request at no extra cost. Send us your building's requirements and we will also coordinate the elevator reservation and loading area with management.
Local moves have a two-hour minimum. The deposit equals that minimum and is fully refundable if you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours ahead. After the minimum, you pay for actual time worked, which keeps a studio or one-bedroom move reasonable.
Yes. Partial packing of the kitchen and fragile items is our most requested packing option. The crew brings all materials, wraps dishes and glassware, and can unpack at the new apartment if you want everything put away.
Yes, at the same hourly rate as weekdays. Weekends near the end of the month are popular with Sugar Land renters, so book early. Mid-week, mid-month dates are easier to get if your lease allows some flexibility.
