About Lakeway
Lakeway began as a resort. Three Houston businessmen planned the Lakeway Inn on a 2,700-acre ranch in 1962, and the inn and marina opened in July 1963 at the end of Lakeway Drive, where the Lakeway Resort and Spa stands now. Property owners voted to incorporate in 1974, and the village became a home rule city in 1990. Most addresses use ZIP code 78734.
Ranch Road 620 is the main artery, and Lohmans Crossing Road, once Lohmanns Ford Road, runs through the center of town. Lakeway Boulevard links many neighborhoods. Streets wind over limestone hills down toward Lake Travis, so moving trucks need room to turn and safe places to park. We look at the route during the walkthrough and plan a shuttle if a driveway is too steep for a full-size truck.
Golf shapes much of the city. The Hills of Lakeway includes Jack Nicklaus-designed Flintrock Falls, and Live Oak and Yaupon are local courses as well. Lakeway Airpark has a 3,930-foot runway, and most of the 32 homes around it have their own taxiways and hangars. The Lake Travis ISD serves local students, and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Lakeway offers 24/7 emergency care.
Watch for deer on Lakeway roads early and late in the day; the area is known for a large deer population.If your home sits well below the street, tell us during the walkthrough so we can plan a smaller shuttle truck.Ask your property owners association about move-in hours and truck parking rules before you book your date.Crate artwork and antiques ahead of the main move so the crew can load them last and unload them first.Plan around RM 620 rush hours when scheduling the start time, since it is the main route in and out.

Yes. We move hot tubs and slate pool tables with a specialty crew, and they need advance notice so we can schedule the right team and equipment. Any specialty handling fee is quoted before the move.
