Upsizing from Villages of Avalon to Waters of Avalon, or downsizing to a Sugar Land townhome? Our local crews move Avalon households across town with hourly billing and no stair fees.
Across town moves
Neighborhood by neighborhood
Avalon's five sections each have a different character. Villages of Avalon, built out around 2001 by Trendmaker Homes, has homes of roughly 2,000 to 4,500 square feet with pocket parks and a community pool. Meadows of Avalon leans larger, with a median home size above 4,200 square feet on lots close to 10,000 square feet. Waters of Avalon and the Enclave sit closer to the lake system. Knowing which section you are in helps us size the crew and truck correctly.
Most local moves from Avalon stay in Fort Bend County: into Riverstone across University Boulevard, into Telfair or First Colony, or out toward Missouri City. Because the neighborhood was built between about 1999 and 2005, some owners leaving a large Avalon home are downsizing, while others are moving up within Sugar Land. Either way, we plan the route around State Highway 6 and school traffic.
Inside the community, residents share a clubhouse, lagoon-style pool, tennis courts, trails and fishing ponds. Streets wind around the lakes, and cul-de-sacs can be tight for a large truck. On those streets we may park at the curb nearby and use dollies for a short carry, which is never billed as extra. Letting neighbors know your move date helps keep driveways and curb space clear.

What Avalon homeowners ask about local moves.
Yes. Moves within Sugar Land and the surrounding Fort Bend County communities are local moves, billed by the hour for actual time worked. Furniture disassembly and reassembly are included, and stairs or long carries are never added to the bill.
It depends on the size of the house and how much is packed. A smaller Villages of Avalon home may need a smaller crew than a five-bedroom Meadows or Waters home. After a walkthrough, in person or by video, we recommend a crew and truck size in your free estimate.
Yes. Partial packing of the kitchen and fragile items is the most requested option among our customers. We bring all the materials. You can pack the rest yourself, or buy boxes and supplies from us ahead of time.
No. Saturday and Sunday moves cost the same hourly rate as weekdays. Weekends at the end of the month and in summer fill up quickly, so we recommend booking at least a week ahead. If your dates are flexible, a mid-week move usually has the most open time slots.
