North of Austin
County overview
Williamson County was established in 1848 and named for Robert M. Williamson, a veteran of the Battle of San Jacinto. Georgetown is the county seat, and its 1911 Beaux-Arts courthouse, topped by a copper dome and a statue of Themis, anchors the downtown square. The county covers roughly 1,135 square miles just north of Austin, so moves here range from compact townhomes to acreage.
The Balcones Escarpment runs north to south through the middle of the county, from Jarrell through Georgetown to Round Rock. The western half is hilly brush country, while the eastern half is flatter Blackland Prairie with dark soil. The San Gabriel River and its tributaries drain much of the land. For a moving crew, the west means slopes and limestone driveways, and the east means wide-open lots.
Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Hutto and Taylor are the largest communities, with Liberty Hill, Jarrell, Florence and Granger among the smaller towns. Brushy Creek and Jollyville are also in the county, and parts of Austin extend north into it. Round Rock is also home to Dell's international headquarters, and job-related relocations into the county are a regular part of our schedule here.

The deposit equals the two-hour minimum for your move. It is fully refundable if you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before the move. For long-distance moves out of the county, we use a flat rate with a 15% deposit instead.
